About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced GoLang Engineer to join the team at Craft.co. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the search engine service that powers our platform. You will work with a talented group of engineers and data scientists to create a high-performance and scalable search experience for our users. Our stack includes Golang, Terraform, AWS, and Elasticsearch.
What You’ll Do:
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable search engine service using Golang
Collaborate with other engineers and data scientists to improve the quality of search results and the overall search experience
Write efficient and clean code, and ensure that code is well-tested and documented
Continuously monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of the search engine
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers on best practices and coding standards
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and AWS
Work with Elasticsearch to optimize search performance and relevance
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years professional experience in software engineering
Strong experience with Go and its ecosystem (or similar technologies; we are open to engineers from other technologies as well!)
Experience with Terraform and AWS (we use s3, OpenSearch, ECS, CloudWatch, DynamoDB)
Experience with Elasticsearch or other search engines will be a huge benefit
Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, and documentation
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team
