The individual in this position will support a broad range of activities that will touch on corporate accounting and platform e-commerce. They must have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership as they will take charge of key activities that will drive the success of Finance and the company. To succeed they will need to have a strong accounting background, be comfortable within a changing environment, a mind for problem solving and process improvement . This position will report to the Controller and support the Finance Manager. They will have the opportunity to grow in a role that has a range of responsibilities outside of traditional accounting functions and be part of a fast-growing SAAS company.

Corporate Duties :

- Responsible for month-end close processes, creating journal entries and preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations .

- Support the creation and review of company’s financial package and reporting requirements.

- Assist in preparing and compiling the necessary financial information and reports for outside auditors.

- Perform accounts payable functions and assist in managing related record s.

- Proactively identify areas of improvement and lead initiatives to recommend and implement changes.

- Work and maintain relationships with external consultants.

- Work across internal departments to maintain credibility, trust, and support of employees and other stakeholders.

- Assist with ad-hoc projects and reporting.

- Perform additional duties as requested by manager .

- Support Balance Sheet reconciliations for all Platform accounts.

- Support with payable functions by running reports and processing payments.

- Support with ERP implementation of SAP.

- Cross-train and act as a backup for cash applications and collections.

- Provides accounting support to the department.

- Work with Finance Manager to support additional functions and ad-hoc projects.

Must Have
-
- BS in Accounting required .

- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.

- Strong understanding of accounting and US GAAP.

- Has owned month-end close and Balance Sheet reconciliations.

- Must show ability to manage multiple tasks and delivery dates.

- Team lead experience.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills .

- CPA is a plus.

- Multi-state sales tax experience is preferred.

- SAAS and/or Life Sci ence experience is preferred.

- Prior experience with QuickBooks and/or SAP is preferred .
