About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join our finance team. As the
Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and executing end-to-end payroll processes,
ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll disbursements. You will work closely with internal
stakeholders, payroll service providers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with payroll laws
and regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate payroll records and
providing support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.


Responsibilities:
● Own the end-to-end payroll processing, including data collection, calculation, and disbursement
of payroll payments for employees in the USA.
● Liaise with a third party managed service provider for International payroll processing and ensure
compliance of local payroll laws and regulations for Canada, Australia and United Kingdom.
● Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing, adhering to payroll schedules and
compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
● Understand and maintain knowledge of relevant US federal, state, and local payroll laws and
regulations, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.
● Assist with state, federal and international tax compliance; including multi-tax state setups,
as needed.
● Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires,
terminations, salary changes, and other payroll-related transactions.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee data, deductions, earnings,
and payroll tax information.
● Prepare and submit required payroll tax filings, reports, and payments in compliance with
applicable laws and regulations.
● Manage 401k reconciliations, including contributions, deductions, and employer matches.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Operations, to resolve
payroll discrepancies and address any related issues.
● Continuously evaluate and enhance payroll processes, identifying opportunities for automation,
efficiency, and accuracy improvements.
● Develop and maintain comprehensive payroll policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring
compliance and knowledge transfer.
● Assist with external audits by providing records and documentation as needed Cash/Month End Close
● Ensure prompt and accurate recording of payroll related JE’s as well as payroll related accruals
(e.g. accrued PTO, accrued bonus, expenses, etc.)
● Reconcile payroll liabilities and other payroll related balance sheet accounts.
● Assist/review cash applications/recording of cash transactions for all bank accounts.
● Assist with special projects (new system implementations, acquisitions, etc) as needed.

What you Bring to the Table:
● Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
● Proven experience (3+ years) as a Payroll Accountant or in a similar payroll role.
● Strong knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
● Experience with payroll systems and software (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paychex) is highly desirable.
● Experience with global shared service organizations.
● Proficiency in payroll tax filings and reporting.
● Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.
● Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work with sensitive and confidential
information.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with
employees and stakeholders at all levels.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs
