Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing monthly general ledger closing procedures, including account analysis and review for posting accuracy and completeness, reconciliations (preparing or reviewing).
  • Record intercompany transactions and complete reconciliations between different entities within the organization, ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany balances.
  • Leverage automation and technology and techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy in monthly general ledger closing procedures and other accounting processes.
  • Assists with various documentation and execution of various accounting processes, including software/salary capitalization, and lease accounting.
  • Cross functional support for key procurement and expense control processes.
  • Support domestic and international tax compliance and tax matters.
  • Actively participates in the design, development, and implementation of process improvements that create efficiencies and improve the integrity of the company's financial reporting system.
  • Assist in general corporate accounting matters and ad hoc projects or requests.
  • Assists with audit requests and collaborates with external auditors.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports in a timely fashion.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing a variety of platforms, including Netsuite, Coupa, and Expensify (or equivalent).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
  • Proven ability to act with discretion and protect confidential information.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting.
  • At least five years of experience in financial statement preparation and general accounting.
  • Public accounting experience a plus
