Role Overview

This individual will work directly with Product Enablement to effectively drive understanding of the Planful product across internal teams. In order to provide customers with a best-in-class product and experience, all teams need to be well-equipped with product knowledge to understand how the product works and how customers use Planful to address their different use cases. The team’s goal is to scale product knowledge across different Planful teams to drive product fluency.

The Product Enablement Specialist will create and deliver training content, and collaborate across departments to drive product adoption and success. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing resources in all formats - written documentation, visual job aids, on-demand and virtual sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Create clear, engaging content such as playbooks, microlearning, product guides, certifications, quizzes, FAQs, videos, and onboarding materials customized for internal teams
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product team and internal stakeholders to conduct needs assessments, gather insights and translate product capabilities into enablement materials
• Training Delivery: Design and deliver training for internal teams, ensuring clear understanding of product functionality and value
• Subject Matter Expert: Act as a SME on the Planful platform for internal teams, providing ongoing support and answering questions to enhance product knowledge and adoption

Key Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in corporate enablement, training, or related roles in SaaS
• Proven experience designing, developing and executing engaging and effective product training materials
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical product information into engaging, consumable content
• Ability to effectively collaborate across functions
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Strong understanding of SaaS (Finance background preferred)
• Highly trainable with a proactive learning mindset
• A high degree of adaptability and creativity in developing training materials for fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments
• Demonstrates a strong ability to grasp new concepts quickly to develop subject matter expertise in Planful product
• Ability to apply feedback or constructive criticism of training content and pivot as needed
• Problem-solver with the ability to identify knowledge gaps and assess data to determine training needs
• Strong organizational, time and project management skills to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously
• Knowledge of and ability to apply adult learning principles and instructional design theory
• Technical proficiency with LMS platforms and enablement tools used for content creation (specifically Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, GSuite, Camtasia, Synthesia)
• Experience creating interactive training materials, including video, presentations, written documentation, manuals, guides, etc.
• Ability to analyze and apply feedback to refine training content
• Attention to detail and the ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks
