As we continue to shape the future of cybersecurity, we’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer – Integrations to help us build robust log ingestion capabilities for a wide variety of security products.
Role Overview:
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for designing, building, and maintaining integrations that ingest logs from a broad range of security products—such as firewalls, identity providers, endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms, and public cloud security services. You will own the process from ingestion to normalization, ensuring that our platform can reliably and efficiently handle terabytes of data every day.
This role is ideal for a skilled programmer with a deep understanding of backend systems, data pipelines, and distributed architectures. Proficiency with Golang is highly desirable, and experience with Rust will be a strong plus.
- Design and implement high-performance data ingestion for diverse log sources, including network appliances, identity platforms, EDR tools, and cloud security services.
- Develop parsers, connectors, and adapters to handle multiple log formats and ingestion protocols (e.g., syslog, API-based, streaming).
- Collaborate with product and security teams to prioritize and deliver integrations based on customer needs.
- Help design and implement set of automated tests for integrations
- Work with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS services to deploy and manage integration services in production.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging to ensure integration reliability.
- Stay current with emerging security products, log formats, and integration technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in distributed systems or data platforms.
- Strong programming skills; proficiency in Golang required, Rust experience is a plus.
- Experience building and maintaining API integrations and data connectors.
- Familiarity with networking protocols, security product log formats, and event schemas.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., ECS/Kubernetes, Lambda, DynamoDB).
- Comfortable working across the stack—from container build scripts to CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud-native environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks and standards. - Designing, writing and maintaining automated tests and infrastructure
